I recently moved to Leland, NC from NJ/NY area and am pleased to announce that I will be teaching a weekly pastel class for the Cameron Art Museum starting on September 10, 2019, as well as 2-day workshops in September and November. I’m thrilled to be the first instructor in a very long time to offer a pastel only class to the Wilmington museum area.
I am a signature member of PSA and a IAPS Master Circle recipient, as well as other groups and I am excited to meet pastel artists in my new surroundings.

As you may know, PSNC now has a Signature Membership Designation to which everyone may strive. It involves the accumulation of points which each artist will keep track of on their journey through their exhibitions, competitions, and service. It is very important to note that everyone can earn points through service to our organization. Please read carefully the guidelines document, and when you have accumulated seven points, please send the information with dates, locations, times, or pertinent information to support the earned points to Luana Luconi Winner at Portraits@WinnerStudios.com. I look forward to seeing how your journey progresses. Good luck to all!
WHERE THE DEER & THE ANTELOPE PLAY led by Lorenzo Chavez (Member, Pastel Society of CO)
This Fall, for the first time, 12-15 Plein Air Painters will be invited to spend a week in this beautiful place, roaming over the untouched land to find the perfect painting site during the day, lunch brought to you, and returning at night to a welcoming campsite with great food, a shady large tent with tables and chairs, campfire and evening entertainment. Some wine too.
We are delighted to welcome LORENZO CHAVEZ to be our Plein Air painting guide for the week. Born and raised in the Rockies, Mr Chavez has achieved international renown for his Art. He is well known as an excellent Fine Art instructor, and he tells us he is especially delighted to join us on this trip because he feels so at home in this ‘big-sky’ country with an unspoiled landscape of sage, piñon and aspen.
Check out his website: www.lorenzochavez.com/about/
DATES: The first week of October, 2018. Sunday evening, 9/30 – Sat morning, 10/6. We plan for 5 full days of painting, 6 nights camping, 17 meals, evening entertainment.
