Cecile aspires to capture the spirit and emotion of each painting she creates in her studio. She just loves painting in pastel, be it animals or people, ocean spray or mountainous backgrounds. As a visitor of Peru for 30 years, Cecile is constantly in awe of their history, admire the people, adore the llamas, alpacas and vicuñas, and especially the Peruvian Paso horses, which her family raised and bred for pleasure for a dozen years in Texas. As a longtime resident of central Texas and avid traveler, the people, places and animals she encounters are her main subjects for painting. A few of Cecile’s pastel paintings can be seen in private homes and juried art exhibitions.
Cecile is the PSNC Treasurer, Website, and Membership & Communications Chair for 2025.
Background
While earning a BS in Computer Science, AS in Engineering Technology and certifications in many software applications, Cecile's career evolved from 15 years in computer and mainframe repair to 15 years writing technical manuals, video production, web help file systems, corporate department level webmaster, and much more. She continues to utilize those skills for art societies, HOAs and small businesses.
Happily creating art, websites, videos and books, her 2023 175-page book “Mom’s Recipe Box Cookbook,” was prepared using Adobe® InDesign and Photoshop. Two memoir photobooks are in progress.
