A. Hunter Taylor

8319 Hopkins Road
Rougemont, NC 27572
919-732-8699

A. Hunter Taylor’s work is derived from nature. The paintings are not a photographic moment in time but represent a unique artistic interpretation through observation as the subjects and paintings move connectedly through time and space. They capture both the immediacy of the moment and the ephemeral characteristics of light, color and shadows dramatically revealing themselves on organic forms.

Through this work Ms. Taylor strives to reconnect with the grandeur of nature as seen through a microcosmic representation and inspire others to a heightened awareness of the interconnection of all life in our technology- focused world.

A. Hunter Taylor studied art and art history in Cortona, Italy and received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drawing and Painting from the University of Georgia. She attended the Governor’s School of North Carolina in Visual Arts. Ms. Taylor has been a member of both the Orange County Arts Commission and the Art School Advisory Board of the Art Center in Carrboro, North Carolina. She has taught both secondary and adult education in private and public institutions.

Ms. Taylor is a juried member of the Pastel Society of America and is a member of the Pastel Society of North Carolina and Associated Artists of Winston – Salem. Ms. Taylor’s works are in private and pubic collections including AT&T, Sun Trust Bank, Bank of America, Wachovia Bank, Potlatch Corporation, GlaxoSmithKline and Novant Health.
