OPEN CALL – “International Contemporary Artists” art book

August 27, 2015

“International Contemporary Artists” art book invites artists from all over the world to submit their work for inclusion.

The book is an effective promotional tool for both established and emerging artists, offering new potentials and opening new markets for them.

A juried committee reviews the submissions on a daily basis and selects the best artists to be included in the book. Each one of them will show their work in a one-page layout which includes images of their work, an essay or statement and their contact information. When the editing process is over, the committee will choose the best two works, that will be presented in the front and the back cover of the book without cost.

Moreover, the best five artists among the ones presented in the book will be awarded with their personal art book, sponsored by I.C.A Publishing.

Artists can apply by sending 4-5 images of their work in JPG format, and a short statement or essay, no more than 100 words. Any additional information about this publication can be found here: www.incoartists.com. The book is distributed worldwide through major wholesalers, bookstores and online shops.

It is also distributed without cost to major galleries and museums all over the world, a list of which can be seen here: http://www.incoartists.com/galleries-n-museums

If you want to submit your work or if you have any questions about the book, please contact us.

Best regards

Members’ Book to display at PSNC exhibits

July 29, 2013

The Exhibiting Committee of PSNC is creating a Members’ Book to display at PSNC exhibits, providing a reference for the history of the group as well as a section that the public can look at to learn more about the artists. The back of the book will feature a scrapbook of sorts to display photos from past exhibitions and workshops.
To complete the member artist’s profile section, those members who wish to be included will need to email the following information. It would be helpful if all of the artist’s information and photos could be included in one email with attachments:
–A photo of the artist. These should be at normal resolution, and the file should be re-named with the artist’s name.
–A photo of a pastel painting that best represents your main body of work or style. The photo perameters for the artist’s photo also apply for the photo of the painting–normal resolution, with the file re-named with the title of the painting.
–Your website address
–Up to 6 sentences that briefly describe your pastel work.   This should be a brief paragraph designed to give someone that is visiting an exhibit a first impression of you, similar to a personal introduction. Do not include biographical information or awards and memberships. These will be available from your provided website.

—If you need some suggestions for ideas about this paragraph, consider things such as: why you like pastels, your motivation as an artist, what inspires you, whether your surroundings influence your subject matter, etc.
–The DEADLINE to send in this information is August 16, 2013.

–Send the photos and introduction to Nina MacDonald at nmac3@nc.rr.com

–Contact Pamela Poole with any questions or suggestions about the project at pamelapoolefineart@yahoo.com
