The Board of Directors of the PSNC recognize the dedication and unwavering service of Herb Slapo to our organization over a span of almost twenty years. They have voted to award him with the title of PSNC Member Emeritus.
As an early member of the PSNC he was instrumental in changing the organization from the Pastel Society of Orange County to the Pastel Society of North Carolina. Through his participation as president, vice president, treasurer and publicity chair he has helped to shape and grow the PSNC. He is viewed as a mentor and gifted teacher. His critiques over the years have helped many of our members evolve into successful professional artists. His keen eye and gentile approach have become an integral part of the PSNC.
We hope that Herb will be willing to help us continue to evolve in the years to come!
