Emily Thompson published her book, “Basics of Art and the Elements of Design”. It’s a basic education course in drawing following the elements of design; composition, perspective, etc. written in simple language with young artists in mind, though it’s good for adults, too. She teaches this course privately and through the Central Carolina Community College(search for Basics of Art).
Additionally, she recently won six awards at the Sanford Brush and Palette Club Annual Art Show! Three place awards and three honorable mentions.
