Call for Entries – North Ridge Country Club Art Gala 2011

Juried Art Competition and Sale on Saturday, March 22, 2011 in Raleigh, NC

Specifications: All work must be original.
Media accepted: Oil, Acrylic, Watercolor, Pastel
Subjects preferred: Landscape, Figurative, Still life, Architectural
Entry Requirements: $10 entry fee per submission; Limit of five submissions maximum per artist; Please note that this is a juried show, so not all entries will be exhibited. Entry fees are non-refundable.
Entry Method: Digital photos of entries should be emailed to NRCCArtGala@aol.com.

Each entry MUST include: Artist’s name, Artist’s email address, Artist’s address and contact phone number, Title of artwork, Size of artwork, Medium, Price

Entry fee checks, made out to North Ridge Country Club, should be mailed to: George Wallace, 1916 Hunting Ridge Rd., Raleigh, NC 27615

PLEASE NOTE: Email entries will not be considered complete nor submitted to the juror until the entry fees are received.

About the Juror
Linda Johnson Dougherty is the Chief Curator & Curator of Contemporary Art at the North Carolina Museum of Art, where she is currently organizing exhibitions of contemporary art and developing artists’ projects for the Museum Park. She co-directed the public art program for the state of North Carolina for several years and prior to that she was a curator at The Phillips Collection, a research associate at the National Gallery of Art, and a research assistant at the National Museum of American Art in Washington, DC. As an independent curator and critic based in Chapel Hill, she contributed reviews and articles on contemporary art to numerous national art publications, and has also written exhibition catalogues and guest curated exhibitions for museums and contemporary art centers in North Carolina and throughout the United States. She has a BA in Art History from Wesleyan University and an MA in Art History from Williams College.
