A life long artist, Suzanne has focused her attention over the last ten years on the medium of pastels, building her skills to become an award-winning pastelist. Her most recent works are done primarily on location (en plein air) thus giving the paintings a freshness and spontaneity that capture the essence of the landscape in a very exciting way. Many of her works are Carolina scenes. As a Heritage Wake Forest resident, Suzanne has also enjoyed painting scenes of the Heritage Golf Course and has painted numerous commissions for local golf lovers. Suzanne is a member of Visual Art Exchange in downtown Raleigh and currently serves on its Board of Directors. She is also a member of the Art Alliance and the Pastel Society of NC. Her work is represented in numerous personal and corporate collections including SAS Institute in Cary, CCB in Raleigh, First South Bank in Rocky Mount, BB&T Bank in Wake Forest and the Wake Forest Chamber of Commerce. |
