Shelley Hedtke has been working almost exclusively in pastels for the last six years. She particularly enjoys all forms of portraiture, including people, animals and homes. She was elected as a Signature Member to the prestigious Pastel Society of America and is a member of the Portrait Society of America and the Pastel Society of North Carolina. Shelley has received many awards including Honorable Mention in the Pastel 100 Competition of 2004. That award winning painting, “Gonzo”, was published in The Pastel Journal (March, 2004). Her work is held in private collections in San Francisco, Chicago, Minneapolis, Austin, Charlotte (NC), Miami, Charleston (SC), and Chapel Hill. |
