Ginger Gunnells is a native of Greenwood, South Carolina and has been an active student and art participant since her teenage years when she studied in the Art Department of Lander University. She later graduated from the University of Georgia, and has continued her artistic endeavors to the present time. She has developed skills in multiple medium including oil, pastel, and watercolors.

In the course of her career she has studied with Daniel Greene, Charlotte Britton, Alex Powers, Gerald Brommer, Ben Konis, and Barbara Gillis.

Ginger has received a number of private commissions in various mediums, and has participated in numerous art exhibits in the Carolinas and Virginia, including solo shows at the Bryan Center, Duke University, and the Center for Living, Duke University.

Gunnells is a member of The Durham Art Guild, the Watercolor Society of NC, The North Carolina Society of Goldsmiths, and the Pastel Society of NC. Ginger currently resides in Durham, NC.
